John has 39 years of hands-on experience as a Business Broker and Consultant with expertise in the hospitality industry and the Australian Postal Network (Retail). John commenced work as a cadet Hotel Broker in 1969 with W.D. Sampson & Sons Pty. Ltd., a Hotel Brokering icon founded by W.D. Sampson Senior in 1908.

John provides advice and valuations to Company clients that include Financial Institutions, Accountants, and Legal Advisors who seek his guidance particularly in relation to the Licensed Post Office, Tattslotto, and Hospitality markets. His specialties include Hotel and Motel sales and acquisitions, Hotel Design and Development, Lease Covenants, Lease renegotiations and Hotel Rental Assessments.

Gary McRae was first introduced to Conway Commercial in the 1970's and joined our Staff in 2002 after 30 years as a successful Hotelier. Gary is a third generation Hotlier with both his grandfather and father owning Hotels before Gary branched out from the family business and became the Licensee of his own Hotel in 1981.

Gary has owned and operated Hotels in the metropolitan area and country regions. This experience has given him a thorough understanding of Hotel investments both Freehold and Lease.

Gary's knowledge of the industry comes from a diverse background in Hotels, as he has also successfully operated Bistro's, Bottle Shops, Pub TAB and entertainment facilities hosting major performers.

He has a passion for the industry and will ensure his clients are given the benefit of his experience and advice.

Mark is a most experienced hospitality business executive having owned or operated more than a dozen hotels over the past 30 years, principally in the Melbourne and Metropolitan areas. His expertise covers business analysis, property acquisition, property redevelopment, etc.
